This Internship position is part of the Xerox Cyber Security team that is responsible for driving security of Xerox digital platforms and plays a crucial role in enhancing the security posture of our products and services. The qualified candidate will work closely with the Product and Cloud security teams to identify and triage vulnerabilities, monitor security policy violations, and automate security processes. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assess applications and products for security vulnerabilities and design flaws
- Implement secure SDLC processes through effective collaboration
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline security processes.
- Implement or integrate security testing tools and frameworks.
- Document security procedures, findings, and remediation steps.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Theoretical knowledge of Secure SDLC, OWASP Top 10 Web Application, OWASP ASVS, etc.
- Basic understanding of common vulnerabilities, attack vectors and corresponding mitigation techniques
- Good knowledge of at least one programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Bash).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
