Intern Opportunity:
Gain experience on the Xerox Cybersecurity Team (XCS) as the first line of defense in protecting information systems. You will work with members of the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) team to facilitate objectives defined in each area, participating in activities, and provide a unique perspective from your college experience.
Purpose:
We are seeking a highly talented Cybersecurity Intern eager to gain experience in maintaining the security and integrity of global information systems. Various activities occur withing the GRC team including identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks. We also work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure activities adhere to all applicable laws, regulations and industry standards.
Scope:
As a GRC Intern, you will primarily focus on assisting the members of the GRC team to facilitate their activities. The intern will be trained on policies, security tools, and activities required to assist in the furtherance of GRC activities.
Influence:
As an XCS intern, you will gain valuable experience in actual Governance Risk and Compliance activities including best practices and process lifecycles.
What to Expect:
- Experience in different areas of GRC, such as training, disaster recovery, risk assessments, PCI, customer security, and communications.
- Gain hands-on experience using GRC tools, review standards, policies, and exceptions.
- Continuous collaboration to reinforce skills maturity while fostering cybersecurity teamwork.
- Opportunities to engage with business stakeholders and provide remediation guidance.
Requirements:
- Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university
- Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Science.
- Must be able to work a 40-hour work week (Monday-Friday) between May 28, 2025 - August 8, 2025.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Mi#LI-EH1 #REMOTE
- urity frameworks such as ISO27001 and NIST 800 series.
- Basic knowledge of modern computing environments including client, server and cloud.
- Security certificates and/or certifications
