The primary function of the role is to respond to scope out, plan and document Technology projects from point of sale to BAU handover, working in conjunction with the Project Team and wider business.  This should be undertaken to an extremely high standard with customer satisfaction at the core of everything undertaken. Must have a polite and efficient manner.  The individual should be comfortable liaising with customers on site, over the phone or email.

Senior IT Project Managers play an integral role in providing a high-quality service delivery to our customers and are responsible for developing and managing technology projects, and their costings on time. Senior Project Managers will work with wider teams to deliver any assigned Infrastructure / voice Projects.  This will include but not limited to processing of all sales/project packs when submitted, the procurement of hardware/software, resource planning, stock control, financials, and all customer communications through the life a project.

Responsibilities: 
  • Respond to client requests within defined targets 
  • Planning and delivery of defined project types
  • Management of assigned resources, time, and budgets
  • Manage issues through the lifecycle of a project into BAU
  • Monitor and report on the project progress
  • Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
  • Co-operation to promote the development of the project team and the success of the company. 
  • Work alongside the project managers to complete project installs, on time and in budget, whilst exceeding client’s expectations. 
  • Build rapport with all new and existing clients to develop positive working relationships 
  • Co-operation to promote the development of the support team and the success of the company as a whole 

Requirements: 
  • Previous project management experience with an IT Service MPS is preferred
  • A good understanding of IT and network infrastructure 
  • Previous experience of the deployment of Network, Server, Wi-Fi, Cloud and On-Prem technologies
  • Ability to plan, organize and adapt to changing job tasks within own role
  • Open to respond to feedback and committed to self-development
  • Team worker, ability to prioritise and delegate with strong leadership skills
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
