Job Function:
The role is responsible for the technical delivery, data architecture, and operational support of Channel Data Management (CDM) solutions within a complex enterprise environment, with a strong focus on database design, SQL development, and ETL processes.
This position defines and delivers high‑value CDM enhancements while ensuring data integrity, system performance, and scalability. The role requires deep expertise in relational databases, data modeling, and query optimization, as well as hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining ETL pipelines to support data ingestion, transformation, and integration across multiple systems.
This position partners closely with IT, Sales Operations, and Data Engineering teams to manage end-to-end data solutions—from requirements gathering and backlog prioritization to data pipeline development, production support, and analytics enablement. The role ensures high-quality, reliable data flows across platforms while translating complex technical and data concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
The CDM System Analyst should be highly motivated and passionate about data systems, database technologies, and scalable application architecture. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in SQL scripting, data transformation logic, performance tuning, and troubleshooting data issues across distributed systems. This role requires full ownership of data processes and pipelines, with a commitment to continuously enhancing the CDM ecosystem, improving data quality, and strengthening application and data infrastructure resiliency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. System Operations, Monitoring & Incident Management
- Provide technical expertise to manage and support complex IT architectures supporting CDM solutions.
- Perform daily CDM system monitoring, including data validation, batch/job execution, and overall system health.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data quality and system issues identified through monitoring activities.
- Manage incidents and changes in alignment with the ITIL framework, including escalation to IT teams and tracking through resolution.
- Maintain, test, and continuously improve business and system operations to ensure stability and performance of 24x7 applications.
2. Processes, Technical Solutions, Data & Analytics Enablement
- Support CDM Operations, Geo Sales Operations, and Data-to-Value teams with issue resolution, data loads, mass data updates, and technical guidance.
- Develop SQL-based solutions to support reporting and analytics needs, including Power BI datasets and reports.
- Build and maintain Business Objects Universes and reports.
- Design and deliver solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Power Platform tools.
- Maintain a holistic view of CDM processes and users to assess functional impacts across configuration, workflows, integrations, and reporting.
- Apply deep understanding of CDM business processes and related enterprise systems, including ERP, PLM, CRM, and the Microsoft ecosystem.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration, Communication & Enablement
- Work closely with technology and operations teams to ensure successful, sustainable delivery of CDM systems, including transitions to IT operations.
- Provide regular project and operational updates (weekly/monthly), and confidently brief executive audiences to support informed, proactive decision-making.
- Report risks, issues, and progress to IT leadership, escalating as appropriate.
- Develop, deliver, and support training for CDM operations and key user teams, enabling adoption and effective system usage.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Work History:
- 5+ years of experience in designing solutions and defining requirements for CDM platforms and complex IT systems, including hands-on experience with databases, SQL, ETL processes, and related data systems..
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
- Must have strong problem-solving ability, critical thinking skills, creative/innovative thinking, attention to detail, and previous systems/business analyst experience.
- Must show positive attitude, strong self-motivation, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to determine appropriate sense of urgency.
- Good understanding of software development life cycles.
Technical Competence:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems or closely related field.
- Expertise in Data warehouse and ETL tools like BODS (Business Objects Data Services), DataStage, Business Objects, AWS Aurora and AWS Redshift.
- Must have knowledge in IT Development, Production support or Operations area.
- Extensive working experience in SQL Query or other programming languages.
- Must have knowledge in Microsoft office tools, particularly Excel, VBA and Access.
- Nice to have knowledge of web applications, portals and document management tools.
- Nice to have knowledge of webMethods or any such integration tools.
- Nice to have knowledge of SAP HANA, Microsoft D365, Enovia or similar tools in ERP, CRM and PLM.
- Nice to have knowledge in Power Platform apps, Power BI, Power App, Power Automate/ Flow.
- Experience in project management skills.
