JOB TITLE: Statutory and Tax Reporting Accountant

SERVICE UNIT: Corporate Accounting

REPORTS TO: Regional Accounting Manager

Overview:

Xerox is seeking Statutory and Tax Reporting Accountant to join its Sofia Office. As Statutory and Tax Reporting Accountant you would be responsible for ensuring the statutory compliance of some legacy Lexmark and legacy Xerox legal entities operating in the EMEA and or AP regions. Accounting and controlling of these legal entities in line with US-GAAP are carried out by several teams at various locations within Xerox/Lexmark. The successful candidate in this position will manage the end to end statutory reporting process and compliance activities with respect to the assigned entities. The tasks mainly include overseeing the statutory accounting and compliance processes, managing financial reporting processes, supporting external audits and partnering with in-country service providers and Xerox global SSC in order that the compliance with the local accounting and tax requirements are ensured.

What You Will Do:

• Management of the end-to-end local statutory reporting processes for some EMEA and/or AP legal entities

• Preparation of the statutory financial statements and ensuring that those are in line with the regulations and policies

• Overseeing the statutory adjustments made and proposed by other SSC and/or the external service providers

• Preparing reconciliations between the statutory, tax and US-GAAP ledgers for the countries assigned

• Working together with the tax service provider in relation to the preparation of the tax returns. Providing all necessary data to the tax service provider in relation to the preparation of the tax returns.

• Reviewing the accuracy and completeness of the statutory financial statements and tax calculations and ensuring the timely filing

• Performing other compliance related activities of the legal entities, incl. support to AP or to other Xerox teams on local compliance topics or specific obligatory reporting

• Raise purchasing requisitions for services in his/her area of responsibility and confirm service acceptance

• Support tax payment process

• Support limited number of manual payments (if applicable)

• Responsible for supporting the statutory audit processes

• Making suggestions how to improve and make more efficient the statutory accounting and tax processes

• Develop (where necessary) and maintain up to date process documentation for the processes in scope of the role

What You Need to Succeed:

• Master degree in accounting

• Significant experience working in an international environment

• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP

• Big Four experience and/or ACCA (or equivalent) qualification is an advantage

• Relevant experience with international statutory reporting is an additional asset

• Fluent English mandatory, both written and oral

• German or any other languages are considered as an advantage

• Ability to multi-task in challenging work environment

• High analytical skills

• High synthesis skills, ability to document thought process effectively

• Ability to understand business processes and accounting/tax process flows

• Flexibility and ability to work towards simultaneous deadlines

• Ability to work in an international environment and to manage several stakeholders

• Very good communication skill

• Ability to adapt to changes

• Proactive in identifying issues and solutions

• Attention to details is a must

Overview:

Xerox, a global leader in printing and imaging solutions, is seeking to appoint a Statutory and Tax Reporting Accountant for its Sofia office. This role reports to the Regional Accounting Manager and is of key importance in ensuring statutory and tax compliance of selected legal entities across the EMEA and APAC regions.

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the end-to-end management of statutory reporting and compliance processes for the assigned entities. The role encompasses the following key responsibilities:

• Execution of statutory accounting and tax compliance activities

• Management of financial reporting processes in accordance with applicable local regulations and statutory requirements

• Coordination and support of external audits, including liaison with external auditors

• Collaboration with in-country teams, external service providers, and global shared service centers to ensure full adherence to jurisdiction-specific accounting and tax regulations
