Job Title: Finance Business Partner to Chief Information Officer (CIO) 

Department: Record to Report

Reports To: Senior Director, Record to Report

Job Summary: The Finance Business Partner to the CIO will play a critical role in providing financial insights, analysis, and strategic support to the IT Department, as well as Security and Innovation teams. This position will act as a trusted advisor to the CIO, ensuring that financial considerations are integrated into the decision-making process and that the IT department operates within budgetary constraints while achieving its strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Collaborate with the CIO and IT leadership team to develop and manage the IT budget, forecast, and long-term financial plans.
  • Strategic Support: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support IT strategic initiatives, including technology investments, cost optimization, and project prioritization.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze IT financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Cost Management: Partner with the IT department to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the CIO and other stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Assess financial risks associated with IT projects and initiatives and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other finance team members, procurement, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • Experience: 
    • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in finance, with a focus on financial planning and analysis, preferably within the IT or technology sector. 
    • Prior experience working as finance business partner to senior leader essential.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of IT financial management and technology investments.
    • Experience with Anaplan desirable but not essential.
