Overview:
Xerox Corporation is an information services technology company that has continually redefined the workplace experience for more than 100 years is currently seeking a Delivery Driver to support the Cheshire, CT. As a Delivery Driver you will be responsible for loading, securing, delivering and basic set-up of equipment, while providing excellent customer service. This is a full-time (Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM with frequent overtime) opportunity delivering equipment. Driver will need to be able to use company issued smart phone and tablet, along with GPS for the truck. Basic use of hand tools and able to follow instructions also required. Must be able to physically push, pull, or lift the equipment.

What You Will Do:
  • Operate an automatic box truck in a safe and timely manner, including daily inspection of the vehicle
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
  • Load, deliver, install and collect equipment at various customer locations
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Provide basic customer training on copiers, printers and other office technology equipment
  • Perform general technical duties such as connecting equipment to network cables and fax lines
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse when needed
 
What You Need to Succeed:
  • Valid Driver’s License with a relatively clean driving record
  • One (1) or more years of experience driving a 16’ – 26’ box delivery truck preferred but not required – we provide the training!
  • Ability to lift 50 – 75 lbs., push, pull, or roll copiers on flat ground and inclines.
  • Basic mechanical understanding preferred
  • Ability to use smartphones and tablets, GPS for navigation, Google Maps when necessary.
  • Experience using Microsoft applications and the Internet
  • Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
