Purpose:
•  Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and review of financial policies, plans, procedures, analyses and controls. Typical areas include accounting, planning and forecasting, payroll, treasury, audit and taxation.
•  The Financial Analyst is the financial lead supporting (organization/business unit name). Responsibilities include providing reporting and analysis, month end close support and general financial assistance to (group/population name).


Scope:
Specific:
•  Individual contributor. Interfaces frequently within functional area as well as with management in the area supported.  May interface with vendors as required.  

General:
•  Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services

•  Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

•  Requires in-depth knowledge and experience

•  Decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan

•  Generally domestic scope/accountability


Primary Responsibilities:
•  Provide monthly/quarterly outlooks and variance analysis

•  Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis

•  Prepare and perform journal entries and account reconciliations

•  Support monthly close

•  Perform ad hoc financial analysis as required

•  Provide Financial Planning & Analysis support

•  P&L reporting and analysis and planning

•  Analysis and validation of accruals for indirect business

•  Analysis and accounting for Contra Revenue streams complying with Sarbanes-Oxley principles for revenue recognition
