Job Role Summary

• Responsible for employee relations and/or industrial relations support and human resource consulting to managers and employees  for the DACH region, in the areas of employee and labor relations, HR policies and procedures, HR reporting, HR projects. 
• Responsible for all activities performed by the HR Operations team for the DACH region.
• Reports to HR Lead in Budapest

 Operational Scope of Role: 
• Responsible for Employee Relations activities within the DACH cluster: employee life cycle (new hires, changes, terminations), support for Reduction in Force/TUPE execution
• Support for Labor Relations: country labor legislation, support HR Country Manager with Union/Work Councils, Court cases
• HR Policies & Procedures - ensure compliance with labor legislation and internal policies.
• HR Reporting – ensure GEMS accuracy, provide HR analytics.
• HR Projects: support HR Country Manager on the introduction of new HR programs
• Supporting HR Country Manager consulting to managers and employees
• Potentially represent Xerox externally with Labor Authorities (depending on complexity).



Responsibilities:
 

1. Employee Relations:
• Employee Life Cycle (New Hires, Changes, Terminations):
• T&Cs for hiring offers and labour contracts
• employment files 
• probation period
• work attendance 
• work schedule & flexible working
• holiday & leave of absence (sickness, maternity etc.) 
• changes (new manager, new organization, new job code etc.)
• terminations (voluntary and involuntary)
• Support HR Country Manager:
• Hiring process
• Compensation changes
• Reduction in Force: calculation/tracking
• TUPE: support HR Country Manager in TUPE projects

2. Labor Relations:
• Support HR Country Manager by preparing information and providing administration support in
• Implementation of local labour legislation
• Unions/Work Councils consultations
• Court Cases 
 
3. HR Policies:
• Implementation support of Global HR Policies for DACH countries
• Review Internal Rules and Regulations and all HR local policies, in line with local labour legislation and global policies
• Potentially lead trainings for managers/employees on HR Policies

4. HR Reporting:
• GEMS Accuracy
• Review changes made by manager via GEMs to ensure details are correct
• Review employment data, cost centers, global job codes etc. to ensure 100% accuracy
• Review compensation details
• Validate terminations
• GEMS Reports
• Employee level data: Attrition, headcount, location, cost of employment, absence, salary
• Help managers extract reports on their teams’ data
• HR Data – provide HR Analytics to stakeholders 

5. HR Projects:
• Support HR Country Managers for all kinds of projects, such as:
• Office moves
• Global Transfers
• Variable Pay 
• Benefits contract renewals 
• Ad-hoc projects 
 
 
Requirements: 
  • Graduation in specialized field (Example: Bachelor of HR Management etc.) or equivalent experience (at least 3-5 years’ experience in HR)
  • Has considerable HR experience, ideally already worked for a German company
  • Good understanding of how to read and interpret labor legislation and ideally experience with union/work councils legal framework
  • Resilient under pressure, able to demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly and deliver results when confronted with unexpected work demands
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluent German and English language skills in writing and speaking
