Overview:
The Demand Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving demand forecasts for Xerox/Lexmark hardware by combining historical order trends, CRM data, market intelligence, product lifecycle information, and input from Sales, Supply Chain, and business stakeholders. This role supports effective inventory planning, product availability, bid support, and executive-level demand visibility while continuously improving forecast accuracy and planning processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts for Xerox/Lexmark hardware using historical trends, industry trends, CRM data, sales input, product lifecycle information, and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with multiple Sales Teams, Supply Chain, Product, Finance, and Operations stakeholders to align demand forecasts with business assumptions, customer requirements, and supply constraints.
  • Provide product information, including functions, features, availability, replacement options, and lifecycle status, to support sales bids, customer proposals, and account planning.
  • Support obsolescence and product replacement processes by identifying demand impacts, replacement needs, and transition risks.
  • Manage transfers of demand between sales entities as customer accounts, territories, or business ownership changes.
  • Analyze actual orders versus forecasted demand to identify variances, root causes, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Track and report key demand planning metrics, including forecast accuracy, forecast bias, order trends, product mix, and demand changes.
  • Prepare demand forecast and actual order reporting for consumption by all levels of the Corporation, including operational teams, management, and executive leadership.
  • Partner with inventory and supply planning teams to support product availability, inventory optimization, replenishment planning, and risk mitigation.
  • Recommend and implement process, reporting, system, and analytical improvements to increase forecast accuracy, planning efficiency, and business visibility.
  • Participate in cross-functional planning discussions, demand reviews, and S&OP/IBP-related activities as needed to align demand plans with business priorities.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of demand planning, forecasting, supply chain planning, inventory planning, or related analytical experience required.
  • Strong understanding of demand forecasting, inventory management practices, product lifecycle planning, and supply chain planning concepts.
  • Experience analyzing historical demand, order patterns, forecast accuracy, forecast bias, and variance drivers.
  • Familiarity with statistical planning algorithms, advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled planning tools preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint, strongly desired; experience with PowerBI or other reporting/database tools preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Kinaxis Maestro a plus.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate data insights into clear business recommendations.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and pivot quickly based on changing business requirements.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, IBF, or other supply chain/planning certifications preferred but not required.

Success Profile:
The successful candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and business-minded, with the ability to combine data-driven forecasting with commercial judgment. This individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, communicating with stakeholders at multiple levels, and driving continuous improvement across demand planning processes, reporting, and tools.
