Overview:
This position is responsible for the purchasing, shipping and receiving of all items related to the service shop and field service organization. The parts agent shall be responsible for ordering and receiving in all items purchased by parts ordering agents, route product to the appropriate location, accept returned product from service personnel and customers and ship product to vendors, manufacturers, customers or other ESI locations. The parts agent shall also be able to ship via, UPS, FEDEX and/or freight truck carrier using computer related software and/or other appropriate methods to generate shipping labels to vendors and internal or external customers. The shipping /receiving agent shall ensure all information required for shipping and receiving is correct, information on the service call is accurate and communication occurs to the call support center, field tech, team leader and management. This position requires in-direct supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the purchasing, shipping and receiving of all items related to the service shop and field service organization.
- Receives items and verifies packing list with purchase order.
- Unloads vehicles and accepts delivery.
- Stores items in designated area.
- Processes backordered items.
- Routes received items to departments.
- Assembles, packs, and labels shipment orders.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet necessary specifications.
- Assists with physical inventory and cycle counts.
- Accurately pick, stage, and relocate inventory using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Picks orders physically and electronically.
- Assists in other areas of the Distribution Center as needed.
- Maintains bin locations of supply items within the distribution center.
- Main point of contact (POC) for all supply tracking inquiries from the Customer Care Center (CCC).
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, bill of lading, and packing slips.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to lift 40-50 pounds
- Able to safely maneuver oversized and overweight equipment
