Overview:
Xerox is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mold Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, repairing, and maintaining precision molds that support manufacturing and prototyping operations. Your expertise will play a critical role in transforming engineering concepts into high-quality tooling solutions that support production efficiency, product quality, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do:
  • Design molds based on product specifications, engineering requirements, and CAD models.
  • Build, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot molds for production and prototype applications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to support mold fabrication.
  • Operate CNC and manual machining equipment to manufacture precision mold components.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize mold designs for manufacturability.
  • Select appropriate materials and machining methods to achieve quality and performance requirements.
  • Inspect, test, and validate molds to ensure functionality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with company safety standards.

What You Need to Succeed:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mold making, including mold design and fabrication.
  • Proficiency with CNC machining and manual milling and turning equipment.
  • Strong understanding of mold design principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
  • Experience working with steel, aluminum, plastics, and other tooling materials.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
