Overview:

  • Responsible for the operational, on-site delivery of document outsourcing services to end-user customers. Activities involve maintaining contracted service levels resulting in customer satisfaction, maintaining customer relationships, and contract commitments delivered within cost targets. 
  • To interact with customers on a daily basis providing, project quotes, scoping projects, manage suppliers, and delivery of project mgmt updates/reporting to client and Xerox as appropriate.


Major Responsibilities:
  • The Document advisor is accountable for the following main responsibilities:   
  • To act as primary source of advice for all document production and/or communication needs of the client. 
  • To understand the clients’ business goals and communication/document challenges in order to identify and deliver innovative, value-added solutions.  
  • To build and maintain a partnership with the client at all levels that ensures the role becomes primary and central source for trusted advice for all document production and communication needs of the client business units.  
  • Implement the document management strategies and solutions, developed in partnership with the client, which ensure the delivery of a cost-effective product or communication technique, that is appropriate for the client's business requirements.  
  • Advise clients on the best production methods to ensure document effectiveness, efficiency and quality. 
  • Provide monthly client and Xerox reporting on specific projects/jobs where cost and/or process efficiency was realized
  • Build and support the Xerox web job submission and client branded catalog items to enable efficient and cost effective production print workflow processes for print services delivery to end-users
  • Meet or exceed agreed SLA measures for the client and Xerox.  
  • Support functions to re-engineer client document management processes to yield improvements, using appropriate Lean Six Sigma techniques.  
  • Build & maintain external supplier relationships to enable / expand onsite service capabilities and capacity as appropriate.  
  • Able to negotiate on cost and delivery timescales within the context of the project.  
  • Able to articulate a client’s business goals and objectives, the impact of their business environment and business issues. 


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Detailed understanding of print production methods / processes / project management.
  • Detailed understanding of relevant industry and its production methods / processes (see Additional Requirements section for specific Document Advisor roles).
  • Experience with commercial (litho and web) / transaction print / digital print / Print-on-Demand / graphic communications / forms design / direct mail - as applicable by responsibility.
  • Experience with software (Adobe Suite, etc) related to creation and production workflow of commercial (litho and web) / transaction print / digital print / Print-on-Demand / graphic communications / forms design / direct mail - as applicable by responsibility.
  • Experience of working in a corporate client account management role, developing and building relationship, resolving issues, working strategically to meet business goals.
  • Experience in working autonomously.
  • Familiar with Premedia / Prepress techniques• Relevant industry / sector application knowledge (for example direct mail in Financial Services sector)
