REVENUE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Business Area: WW Accounting

Job Summary:

The Revenue Accounting Manager oversees the revenue accounting function to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. This role leads and develops a high-performing team while ensuring adherence to corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & People Management
    • Lead and manage the revenue accounting team in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Establish team guidelines, standard operating procedures, and work schedules to ensure achievement of key objectives and service levels.
    • Execute the performance management process in alignment with company and departmental policies, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning.
    • Build and maintain a strong team through effective recruitment, training, coaching, workload management, and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
    • Promote effective collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Operational & Financial Management
    • Oversee day-to-day revenue accounting activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting through:
      • Compliance with Corporate Accounting Policies, Corporate Accounting Instructions, and Global Processes & Procedures
      • Adherence to internal control requirements
      • Review and approval of balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
      • Analysis of balance sheet and profit & loss fluctuations
      • Facilitation of regular team meetings and operational huddles
    • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close and reporting processes.
  • Analysis & Problem Solving
    • Identify root causes of revenue-related issues and process gaps; develop and recommend timely, effective corrective actions.
    • Analyze and correlate interrelated business drivers across operational and financial processes and assess their financial impact.
  • Governance, Controls & Communication
    • Develop, implement, and manage revenue-related internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation.
    • Assist in the development, maintenance, and documentation of revenue-related Corporate Accounting Policies and Global Policies and Procedures.
    • Facilitate effective internal and cross-functional communication; prepare and deliver meaningful financial analyses and reporting to senior management and key stakeholders.
    • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation, explanations, and issue resolution.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • At least 3 years of people management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Ability to coach and manage a team
  • functional collaboration skills
  • Experience defining and reporting key financial or operational metrics (preferred)
  • Clear and effective written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to explain accounting processes and policies to diverse audiences (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 842
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with accounting systems; SAP preferred
