We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented HR professional to join our team as a Senior Analyst, Payroll & Compensation Analysis. This role plays a critical part in managing the calculation, administration, and auditing of incentive compensation plans within a complex, multi-divisional organization. The ideal candidate will combine strong compensation expertise with financial analysis skills, ensuring accuracy in payroll and incentive processing while aligning compensation strategies with broader business goals.
This role requires close partnership with Finance, Payroll, and HR teams to deliver accurate, timely results while driving process improvements and enabling data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation & Incentives
- Administer, calculate, and process monthly, quarterly, and annual variable incentive compensation plans with a high degree of accuracy.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of performance and business results to inform bonus allocations and incentive plan outcomes.
- Partner with Finance and business leaders to deliver insights on compensation investments, variances, and opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with global compensation teams and divisional CFOs to ensure alignment with best practices, compliance standards, and strategic objectives.
- Create clear and compelling communications and training materials to explain incentive structures to leaders and employees.
Commission Processing & Audit
- Accurately process commissions based on established plans, policies, and performance data.
- Reconcile commission payments, audit data integrity across systems, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive commission documentation and ensure readiness for audits and compliance reviews.
- Partner with Finance to align on variable compensation accruals and quarterly projections.
Payroll & Accounting
- Prepare and validate payroll journal entries, ensuring proper recording and reconciliation of payroll registers.
- Identify discrepancies and analyze root causes in payroll data across multiple pay periods.
- Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to validate payroll against budget trends and forecasts.
- Support internal audits and conduct benefits-related payroll analysis.
Data, Analytics & Process Improvement
- Provide analytical support for ad hoc projects, including compensation trends, projections, and financial modeling.
- Leverage reporting tools and dashboards to monitor compensation and payroll metrics, identifying opportunities for efficiency.
- Design and implement process improvements to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve accuracy.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to inform compensation and payroll strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced degree or CCP certification a plus).
- 3–5+ years of experience in compensation analysis, financial analysis, or payroll operations.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with proven ability to review variances, reconcile data, and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Experience supporting global compensation projects or cross-functional initiatives.
