Overview: 

Xerox Corporation is an information services technology company that has continually redefined the workplace experience for more than 100 years is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to support our Sacramento, CA Distribution Center. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. This is a full-time opportunity with daytime hours with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities: 

  • Receives items and verifies packing list with purchase order.  
  • Unloads vehicles and accepts delivery.  
  • Stores items in designated area.  
  • Processes backordered items.  
  • Routes received items to departments. 
  • Assembles, packs, and labels shipment orders. 
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet necessary specifications. 
  • Assists with physical inventory and cycle counts. 
  • Operates tier lift truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.  
  • Picks orders physically and electronically.  
  • Assists in other areas of the Distribution Center as needed.  
  • Maintains bin locations of supply items within the distribution center.  
  • Main point of contact (POC) for all supply tracking inquiries from the Customer Care Center (CCC). 

 

Requirements: 

  • 2 years experience in shipping and receiving
  • High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent.  
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, bill of lading, and packing slips.  
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization  
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be at least 18 years old  
  • Ability to stand for 8+ hours and regularly lift 50-70 pounds  
  • Able to safely maneuver oversized and overweight equipment   
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that may not be climate-controlled
