Overview: 
Xerox Corporation is an information services technology company that has continually redefined the workplace experience for more than 100 years is currently seeking a motivated Shop Technician /  Warehouse Associate to join our team based in Tampa, FL. The Shop Technician /Warehouse Associate is responsible for set-up  and refurbishment of a variety of printers and copiers, including Xerox and other manufacturers. This is a  full-time opportunity in a shop / warehouse setting.

What You’ll Do: 
  • Assemble and refurbish various models and manufacturers of copiers and printers for our customers. 
  • Customize and install software, applications and other customer requested programs. 
  • Troubleshoot, breakdown and diagnose equipment in need of repair, including software and hardware updates. 
  • Test equipment for performance and copy quality. 
  • Ensure that required materials are included in packaging. 
  • Confirm that corresponding assigned serial numbers match with order requests. 
  • Update the operations team on the status of each work order. 
  • Assist with warehouse operations such as unboxing and distributing materials while maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment. 
  • Operate an automatic box truck in a safe and timely manner, including daily inspection of the vehicle
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record

What You Need to Succeed: 
  • Exposure to normal shop / warehouse working environment. 
  • Ability to use a variety of office equipment, such as computer/laptop, phone, printer, fax, copier, etc. 
  • Ability to use pallet jack. 
  • Ability to use sitting and standing forklift.  
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and long hours. 
  • Team-oriented individual. 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail, quality focus, strong planning, and organization skills. 
  • Good computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). 
  • Strong electro-mechanical skills or equivalent experience. 
  • Strong critical thinking skills to assist in problem-solving. 
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting with peers and colleagues in a cross-functional setting. 
  • Must be a self-starter, able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, and ability to meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced work environment. 
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Able to read, understand, and follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines. 
  • Able to read, understand, and follow checklists when provided. 
  • Strong organizational skills, meets productivity standards, and completes work in an efficient and timely manner. 
  • Quality-focused and demonstrates strong attention to detail. 

Requirements (Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands):
  • Must be able to hear auditory alarms, speak, concentrate, analyze, and solve complex issues throughout the course of the workday 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Must be able to read and comprehend technical documents and instructions throughout the course of the work day such as safety rules, installation instructions and procedure manuals, and manufacturer assembly instructions. 
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl throughout the course of the workday 
  • Must regularly be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, frequently lift and occasionally push and/or move up to 100 pounds. 
  • May be required to work outside normal business hours including evenings and/or weekends.
